I have a query in relation to the Top 100 CBQoS drop reports. I have a edited the report via Report Writer tool to show the Total Bytes dropped, Peak Drop rate ( I think) and the Policy rate. I was under the impression that the Peak Drop rate was the max drop rate seen on the router at specific polling intervals but now Im not so sure given the amount of data we are dropping on CE / PE routers. According to the Topp 100 drop report we have seen 43.1Kb peak drop rate but I'm wondering if the peak drop rate is aggregated over the 7 days as it seems a little low given the amount of packet loss we have seen on the CE policy map stats.
My question is does the Peak Rate seen in the 7 day top 100 drop report show the aggregated peak drop rate or is this real peak value?
The more and more we utilise Solarwinds for QoS reporting, I'm finding QoS stats are aggregated and don't provide the real time reporting we actually need to accurately predict future QoS requirements
